Elizabeth Seares

Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor

Elizabeth is a clinical psychologist and has 10 years experience in the industry across hospital, rehabilitation, organisational, forensic, and private settings.

Elizabeth has a warm and compassionate therapeutic style, and strives to create a space that is accepting of all. She works collaboratively with her clients, is guided by their strengths and goals, and enjoys incorporating humour and a practical approach. Elizabeth strives to meet the client where they are at, and work together on the thinking styles, beliefs and behaviours that are holding them back from living a more fulfilling life.   

Elizabeth works within a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy framework, often drawing on other modalities including ACT, DBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and schema therapy.  She has received advanced training in CBT and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT). She has experience working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, OCD, panic attacks, trauma, childhood trauma, ADHD, substance use, gambling, chronic health issues including pain and concussion, work stress, adjustment to life changes, and grief and loss. 

In addition to her clinical work, Elizabeth enjoys teaching post-graduate psychology students at university and supervising and mentoring psychologists.

Clinical Supervision

Elizabeth is a board-approved supervisor with AHPRA and is available to provide clinical supervision to provisional psychologists undertaking postgraduate training and general psychologists.
